"Finding the perfect band for our wedding was very important to my husband and I. Brandon, being a musician, wanted a certain sound. It was important to both of us to not only find a great sounding band, but we really wanted a band who was young and energetic to compliment who we are. When we first heard the Main Line Affair, we knew we had found the right band for our big day. During the planning process, MLA was super responsive and helpful in helping us choose our music. My only stipulation was that no 70's music be played, with which they gratefully complied. During the wedding, they had everyone on their feet. The music was exactly what we wanted and everyone complimented us on such a great band. Towards the end of the night- I received a little surprise when Brandon got up with the band to play my favorite song- Just Like Heaven. This wasn't a sappy version- this performance rocked. They had everyone on the dance floor. Come to find out, Howard was gracious enough to meet with Brandon prior to the wedding to practice the song. It was such and amazing surprise and we're so fortunate MLA was able to do it with ease. We highly recommend Main Line Affair for any big event. If you want people dancing- MLA is the way to go. "I couldn't say enough good things about MLA at our wedding. Christine and I felt confident that you would perform well at the wedding, but you blew our expectations away. The first dance song and the accompanying surprise was pulled off perfectly, and without any real rehersal with Sebastian. You guys kept the dance floor rocking all night. We heard more compliments about you guys than we did about the wedding. Everybody loved the mix of music that you guys played, and it was awesome to look around and see the dance floor crowded all night long. Outside of the really long speeches (sorry about that!), you guys were killing it forever, and with no breaks. Even a few people who had some trepidations with a band playing were really happy with how it turned out. I hope that you guys had fun performing, I know some of my friends pulled the female lead singer off onto the dance floor, and we got the other guy off and letting us sing some of "I like the way you move" with him. "Thought I'd drop you guys an e-mail after seeing you this past week and write a testimonial. I'm both a bass player and a guitarist and have been for some time! We went up to Blue Bell, PA this weekend for a wedding. During the seating and cocktail hour, there was a guitarist sitting on a stool accompanied by a sax player doing all sorts of nice quiet jazzy styles of classic rock songs, Led Zep, the swan song, Styx Sail away etc... It caught my ear, I knew this guitar player could rock. Once the reception started, a band came out, 8 people on stage, I forget what the very first song was but it was sort of mellow and nice and they were introducing the bridal party, but when the bride and groom came in, the band went right from the mellow tune to The Scorpions - Rock You Like a Hurricane! (customized for bride and groom) The whole place went nuts! The band was rocking, sizzling/scorching guitar solos! It was crazy! While they were playing this, Sebastian, The Miami Hurricanes' mascot came out dancing with everyone. The groom graduated from Miami University! Throughout the night, the band played a lot of songs that I think VERY FEW bands would be able to pull off. They played everything from Frank Sinatra to Guns and Roses. They have a heavy influence on the 80's. They played a kick ass version of Dexy's midnight runners come on Eileen complete with trumpets and keys that would turn anyone's head and the vocals were killer! One of the most versatile bands I've ever seen live. Towards the end of the night, their last set was one straight medley of maybe 20 or so songs that were perfectly patch-worked together. My ears did not catch a single screw-up. They were completely amazing! We got their business card and all their booking info. I think for my 40th B-Day party (three years away) Allyson will have them play my party!

"I had Main Line Affair handle the music for my wedding on November 1, 2009. I am so glad I did, and now I can’t imagine my day having been as special if I hadn’t done so. Howard was very accessible throughout the months of planning and I really appreciate that he brought good suggestions to the table, and how they did not conflict with the things I really wanted. I had them handle the whole day. The cellist at my ceremony was terrific, as were the jazz musicians for my cocktail hour. I requested unique processional music and the group learned it on very short notice. Their performance at the reception was so much fun and people couldn’t stop dancing.
